Soda Gallery Avalon. October 2006

While at Lake Orta in Northern Italy I visited the tiny island in the lake, Isola San Giulio, dominated by its Romanesque Basilica. On a narrow path weaving between the quaint houses were hanging periodic shingles, each with inspirational sayings. This narrow path was called "The Quiet Way" and the paintings in this exhibition depict the sayings on those shingles.
